We welcome monetary donations that specifically honor or remember a family member, friend, or co-worker with a Knox Public Library Honor/Memorial Book for our collection.
We will purchase and add a book (or books) to our collection in honor or memory of others. You may also purchase a book to donate to the library, but the book must be brand new and not already in our collection (please check with us before purchasing).
In return for your donation, we will choose an appropriate book based on your preferences and knowledge of the person’s interests, send an acknowledgement to the person or family, place a bookplate in the book with the names of the donor and person to be honored/memorialized, and keep the book in circulation for the life of the book.
The Knox Public Library has been very blessed by donations from residents of the local community. Two special residents have bequeathed large donations to the library. Their stories are found here:
