We were the honored recipients of a grant from the McElhattan Foundation. We were able to purchase new and updated nonfiction books for our children’s, teen, and adult collections. For the children’s section, we were able to purchase new collections of state, country, and president books. For the teen section, we purchased new books on mental health, being a good citizen, college & career prep, SAT & ACT prep, and hygiene. For the adult section, books were purchased on the following topics: distance learning & homeschooling, mental health, career & jobs, legal help, and family planning.

The McElhattan Foundation was established in 1994 and for many years served as the charitable arm of Industrial Scientific Corporation, which was founded by K. E. McElhattan and his son, Kent McElhattan. It supported nonprofits on the local and national level. Click here to learn more about the McElhattan Foundation.
