We are the honored recipients of multiple grants from the McElhattan Foundation.

In 2020, we received our first McElhattan Foundation grant. We were able to purchase new and updated nonfiction books for our children’s, teen, and adult collections (pictured below). For the children’s section, we were able to purchase new collections of state, country, and president books. For the teen section, we purchased new books on mental health, being a good citizen, college & career prep, SAT & ACT prep, and hygiene. For the adult section, books were purchased on the following topics: distance learning & homeschooling, mental health, career & jobs, legal help, and family planning.

In 2022, we received our second McElhattan Foundation grant. We were able to create a Library of Things collection. This new collection loans out items, such as musical instruments, baking pans, technology items, and tools to our patrons. Click here to see what we have in our Library of Things.

The McElhattan Foundation was established in 1994 and for many years served as the charitable arm of Industrial Scientific Corporation, which was founded by K. E. McElhattan and his son, Kent McElhattan. It supported nonprofits on the local and national level. Click here to learn more about the McElhattan Foundation.
